This is another in a series where I am exploring a compositional style, one that speaks to timelessness and grandeur. I was down at the base of these eroded hills along the Chama river in Taos. At first disappointed to be missing the wide expanse of the views up top, I found the quiet and intimacy of the canyon refreshing. This is a high-key painting, oil on canvas, use of color theory triads.
